About the role

The Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company's daily payment processes and cash position, ensuring accurate and timely recording of bank transactions in SAP, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role acts as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on treasury-related matters and supports audit processes by providing accurate documentation and information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute payment files, including manual payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal approval processes
  • Monitor and oversee daily cash balances across company bank accounts
  • Book daily bank statements in SAP in a timely and accurate manner
  • Respond to internal and external emails and queries related to treasury and payment matters
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to treasury and cash management
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to payments and cash management
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies or issues in bank statements or payment processing

Requirements

A completed university degree or ongoing studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • Entry-level to 1-2 years of relevant experience in treasury, accounting, or finance operations (internships considered)
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under time pressure, especially during month-end close
  • Working knowledge of SAP or willingness to learn (prior SAP experience is a plus)
  • Good understanding of basic accounting and cash management principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with financial transaction
